Vic Chesnutt was a singer-songwriter from Athens, Georgia. Paralyzed in a car accident at 18, he became one of the most critically revered songwriters of his generation, admired by R.E.M. (Michael Stipe produced his first two albums), Fugazi, and many others. He died in 2009.
