The Misfits were a horror punk band from Lodi, New Jersey, formed in 1977 by vocalist Glenn Danzig. They pioneered the horror punk subgenre, blending 1950s rock and roll with punk and B-movie horror imagery. Their Crimson Ghost skull logo is one of the most iconic images in punk.
