Jesus Lizard were a noise rock band formed in Austin, Texas, and later based in Chicago, Illinois. Fronted by the unhinged David Yow, with guitarist Duane Denison, bassist David Wm. Sims, and drummer Mac McNeilly, they were one of the most ferocious live acts of the 1990s. Albums like Goat (1991) and Liar (1992), produced by Steve Albini, are noise rock landmarks.
