Based out of Houston, TX, Abridged Records debuted the band's sound of melodic hardcore and indie undertones on the 1994 split EP with fellow Texans Blueprint. Following a U.S. tour and their 1995 EP, Unhappy Life, Badger discover that there was already a '70s supergroup (featuring members of Kiss no less) with the same name. They changed their name to the Tie That Binds.
